When the weather is fine, there’s nowhere better to be than Edmonton. The city has a spring in its step, the nature of the region is accessible, and the events just flow and flow and flow. If you’re visiting the city from mid-June onwards, then you’ll have a whole host of events waiting for to be enjoyed. Coming up we have Shakespeare festivals and two different, yet equally awesome, music events. Check out all the details below, and begin looking forward to your trip.
It’s a pleasure to see Shakespeare in any environment, but there’s something extra special about seeing the great playwright’s work performed in the outdoors. From June 18 - July 14, the Freewill Shakespeare Festival will be taking place at William Hawrelak Park. The two plays being performed will be Two Gentlemen of Verona and The Winter’s Tale. Grab a blanket and snacks, and enjoy the show!
For the jazz fans
Are you a jazz lover? Then you won’t want to miss the TD Edmonton International Jazz Festival, which will feature performances by internationally-acclaimed and local talents at various venues around the city. It’ll all be taking place from June 21 through to June 30. One show or more, you’ll have a great time!
If you prefer your music a little more modern, a little more electronic, then Bomfest is the festival for you! Bringing a range of electronic music talents to the city, it’s going to be a few days of all our party fun at the Edmonton Expo Centre. Takes place June 28 - 30.
Round off your trip by staying at the best hotel in Edmonton. At the Paradise Inn & Suites Signature Edmonton International Airport, you’ll have everything you need to fully enjoy your trip away from home. Choose from a range of room types, and enjoy a comfortable night’s sleep in peace.
